The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the baptised and obliges them more firmly to be witnesses of Christ by word and deed and to spread and defend the faith. It imprints a character, enriches by the gift of the Holy Spirit the baptised continuing on the path of Christian initiation, and binds them more perfectly to the Church” (Can. 897).
At Holy Family, Confirmation is celebrated each year for young people and others who may not have had the opportunity previously. Young people in year 6 at School or later are eligible. (Please note that children baptised in the Maronite Catholic rite and other similar rites were also confirmed at the same time. Confirmation can be conferred only once.)
Adults who wish to be confirmed may do so through the R.C.I.A. program.
We forward to welcoming you to our Sacramental program and assisting you and your child in taking this next step in their faith development.
