Youth Group
The much anticipated Holy Family Youth Group was formed this year in August, following on from the euphoria of World Youth Day. The need for an organised body to cater for the needs of the youth in our parish was an overwhelming common message in our parish survey from the previous year.
The Youth Group caters for Year 7 up to post school youth. Years 7-10 are catered for on Friday nights which kick off with a lot of fun activities followed by prayer and reflection. Year 11 upwards gather together on Sunday nights after the 5:30pm Youth Mass which is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.
In 2009, the Youth Group plans to continue the fun and take a keener interest in aspects of social justice. The vision of the Youth Group is to bring the youth of our parish together to not only enjoy themselves but to foster a caring and construction group that is concerned about the issues facing our community.
